We had the queen deluxe room with a nicely furnished terrace. Cozy, crisply clean, luxuriously understated room, designed carefully with esthetics and functionality in mind courteous, helpful, respectful,low-key staff excellent location within walking distance of Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen museums, and an abundance of restaurants-all at an affordable price. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this boutique hotel. So since I am working in the hotel industry as well I am not that easy to impress but I have to say I would stay in this hotel anytime again.… I did got a great deal on Secret Escapes and paid only 60 euros per night. Great breakfast food and even tho a lot of tipical Spanish choices. The breakfast buffet easily can compete with any hotel I know so far. I actually didn't mention the cleanliness until now because for me it is a must that a hotel room is clean and that's what it was. Unfortunately, I have often experienced that hotels do not comply with this request and clean the room anyway. But the best thing ever - for that you have to know that I am kind of a big girl 😅 This was the very first hotel where the towels where big enough that they actually covered all of my body 😍 I also found it great that my request for no cleaning was taken seriously. What's a really need of improvement is that there was no brush toilet brush which was kind of confusing. Unfortunately every time I showered some water was on the ground of the other side of the room but totally manageable. I could have spent hours there 😍 the design of the shower is amazing and totally fits the style of the hotel. Unfortunately they don't have king or queen size beds yet, so there were two singles which constantly pushed apart even though the brakes were firm. The design is super beautiful and it really felt cozy. I was staying in a double room with the view to La Grand Via and still the room was super quiet. 😄 The Check in was a bit more friendly, emotional and kind than the check out with the Lady which was much more like "ok bye" she didn't even ask for some feedback. Even tho my Spanish is not the best they continued to speak in Spanish with me what I totally appreciated.
